Global Journal of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine [GJPLM]

What is laboratory medicine in pathology:

The precise study and diagnosis of disease are how pathology is defined on Google. The word comes from the Greek pathos, which can mean either experience or suffering in English.

The study of the nature and causes of diseases is the focus of the medical discipline known as pathology. It serves as the foundation for all medical practices, including cutting-edge genetic research, blood transfusion techniques, and chronic disease monitoring.

From conception to post-mortem, pathology is essential in all parts of medicine throughout our lives. In actuality, "Medicine IS Pathology" has been said.

One of the 20 departments that make up Western University's Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry is the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Since it is the only department that combines basic science and clinical care, it is exceptional within the School.

Modern diagnostic pathology services are offered by the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, which also excels in pathology research and education. The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine employees work hard to create a positive work atmosphere that promotes cohesion, respect for diversity, teamwork, and personal development. We are dedicated to helping our patients, students, partners in scientific research, and the general public.

Submit Your Case Report: Global Journal of Diabetes Treatment and Prevention

Diabetes is a chronic condition that develops when the pancreas is unable to create insulin or when the body is unable to effectively utilize the insulin that is produced. The hormone insulin, which is produced by the pancreas, functions as a key to allow glucose from food to enter the body's cells where it may be used to make energy. All food containing carbohydrates breaks down into glucose in the body. Insulin facilitates glucose uptake by cells. The majority of the food you consume is converted by your body into sugar (glucose), which is then released into your bloodstream. Your pancreas releases insulin when your blood sugar levels rise. In order for blood sugar to enter your body's cells and be used as energy, insulin functions like a key. Types of Diabetes Type 1 Diabetes It is believed that an autoimmune reaction is what causes type 1 diabetes (the body attacks itself by mistake).
